Ballet Folklorico Quetzales instills cultural pride and awareness by educating the general public. It also promotes the history, discipline, responsibility, physical fitness, personal development and teamwork of its members. Ballet Folklorico Quetzales is committed to and supports community outreach programs by providing a platform upon which our local artists can teach, perform and entertain.
Ballet Folklorico Quetzales, originally founded in 1989 by a small group of talented dancers, continuously strives towards its primary goal of portraying Mexican traditions through dance.
Quetzales characterizes traditional Mexican dances through a unique and creative blend of authentic intricate steps and mixed choreographies. Since its inception and under his invaluable instruction, Jaime Carrasco, a local, talented artistic Director and Choreographer, has led the company to its current and highly reputable status.
